This study explains that the theory of sustainable leadership in a hospital can influence the practice of sustainable leadership in the health sector as a community-based social enterprise to help governments respond to world challenges in the sustainable development of SDGs (Sustainability Development Goals). in the health sector. This research aims to broaden scientific knowledge to develop a theory of sustainable leadership that is developing globally in increasing resilience in addressing the three pillars of sustainability, namely social, economic and environmental. This study uses the framework of sustainable leadership for hip hospitals to identify the extent to which sustainable leadership practices for hip hospitals are implemented Gotong Royong Hospital on the basis of the non-profit-oriented Type C Hospital industry in the city of Surabaya. Sustainable Leaderhisps are categorized under 6 major themes, namely adopting long-term practices, developing internal leadership, strong organizational culture, supporting innovation, implementing social and environmental responsibility and ethical behavior. This study analyzes the implementation of hospital resilience practices and develops in the future in a sustainable manner in supporting the SDGs. This study uses an integrative theoretical approach to the sustainable leadership framework of hip hospitals and sustainable leadership competencies of hip hospitals to analyze sustainability practices in the health sector, especially in the context of social and community-based health businesses. Case study is used as an approach in this study. Multi-data collection method with in-depth interviews and focus groups from various stakeholders. Evidence found that the practice of Hospital Sustainable Leaders is in six categories and 5 Competence Sustainable Hospitality Leaders, 3 sustainability outputs and two sustainability outcomes. The research results contribute to the development of sustainable leadership theories and alternative sustainable business models in the hospital industry context for resilience and achieving the SDGs. The overall findings provide insight into practical advice and useful policy implications for a sustainable future. © 2024, SRAC - Romanian Society for Quality. All rights reserved.
