Contamination of water by various hazardous substances is a severe problem. A comprehensive discussion of the methods of preparation of polymer-based nanocomposites and the use of these materials as the potential alternative adsorbents for the removal of hazardous substances from aqueous solution are discussed in this chapter. Furthermore, the utilization of various adsorption isotherms and kinetics to correlate the adsorption experimental data of hazardous substances onto polymer-based nanocomposites are also discussed in this chapter. © 2018 Scrivener Publishing LLC.
